1.15 - calculate the resultant forces that act along a line
If there is an unbalanced force, the object will accelerate in the direction of the larger force.
→ This is the resultant force.
To calculate it:
1. Look at which side has the larger force.
2. Subtract them.
→ The arrow should be pointing towards the larger side.
3. The result is the resultant force.
5N ←◼️ → 10N
10 - 5 = 5N
Hence, the object will move forward and the resultant force is 5N.
